Once, Hadhrat Moulana Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi (RA) was teaching in the courtyard of the musjid when it suddenly began to rain. All the students hurriedly took their books and rushed off to the Musjid. Hadhrat Moulana (RA) slowly picked up all the shoes of his students and kept it in a safe place, out of the rain.
This was indeed a display of real concern and love for his students, and of course, Hadhrat’s own tawaadhu (humility).
Today, we feel it difficult to even pick up our own shoes leave alone the shoes of any of our students.
